Lumpers

Most lumper payments will be made electronically through an app. If you need to use a comcheck, you will need to call the agent for your load and have them load the funds onto the fuel card. Using the comcheck procedures, Larry will authorize the check so it can be presented to the lumper service for payment.

Electronic lumper payments generally begin with a text message. You will receive a link by text and it will ask if you are going to use an “express code” or “authorize a check.” We want to use the “express code” option. When you receive the amount of the fee, you will call Landstar Contractor Services 800-872-9412 (0800-1800) or Operations ‭(800) 241-0263‬ (overnight hours) and tell them you need a lumper. They will ask you questions about your load and verify your identity. They will give you the express code that you will enter into the payment screen. Once the payment is complete, you will need to take a screenshot of the receipt so that it can be scanned into Transflo with the rest of your bills. The lumper receipt must be scanned in with the rest of the bills or the advance generated by the express code will be deducted from the truck’s weekly settlement, and you’ll soon be hearing from Larry to find out why you did not provide proof of the lumper fee to Landstar. A copy of the lumper receipt must also be scanned into Dropbox.
