FUELING PROCEDURES

 FUEL TRANSACTIONS

The Landstar Fuel Card is NOT a credit card. It works like a Debit Card. Monies must be loaded from the Load Revenue using a Fuel Advance. Larry will load fuel onto your Fuel Card once a Freight Bill has been created by the Agent.

Notes:

  • -  A Fuel Advance is 30% of the linehaul plus the full Fuel Surcharge Amount.

  • -  If a load cancels, the fuel advance will be rescinded by Landstar and can leave your FuelCard empty until another load is booked.

  • -  During PHASE II, III, and IV, the driver is responsible to select the cheapest fuel stop using the Landstar One app.

  • -  The information needed to authorize the pump is TRUCK NUMBER, DRIVER LICENSE NUMBER and DRIVER LICENSE STATE.

  • -  Fuel Receipts are to be scanned into the truck Dropbox folder IMMEDIATELY before leaving the fuel island. Odometer mileage is to be written on the receipt.

  • -  Fuel Transactions are to be entered into Fuel Gauges on the iPad IMMEDIATELY before leaving the fuel island.
    • Must include current odometer mileage, City and State, and the Price Per Gallon from the LS One app.

  • -  WHEN YOU ADD OIL TO THE ENGINE it must be marked on the receipt before it is scanned into Dropbox.

  • -  PARTIAL FILL UPS:

    • In the event that you do not fill the tanks completely, you must write PARTIAL on the fuel tickets and mark the transaction as a PARTIAL in Fuel Gauges.

  • -  MAX MILEAGE CATATLYST

    • Is required on any truck with EGR, DPF and/or SCR (Uses DEF Fluid) • Not required on trucks with NON-EGR 12.7 Engines older than 2004 • Must be added at EVERY FILLUP
